Taking pictures had been just a sideline for much of my life, but as I got into birding in the mid `90s, I soon became fascinated by the challenge of capturing birds on film. After my retirement in 2000, bird photography became my full-time passion. I moved to digital equipment in 2003. Particularly satisfying have been my many presentations to birding groups, and the extensive use of my images by such organizations as Massachusetts Audubon.
Though birds remain my main focus, other aspects of nature increasingly draw my attention, including landscapes and many smaller details. And even on my more culturally oriented travels, I pursue telling "non-natural" images with similar intensity. Some images are available as 5" x 7" prints at Backyard Birds, 17 Strong Ave., Northampton (413-586-3155). Please contact me directly if you are interested in other archival-quality prints (I have hundreds of top-quality images that are not on my website).
