Next PVPA Meeting

The next regular meeting of the PVPA will be 7-9pm on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at the Quabbin Visitors Center (east from the route 202 / route 9 intersection, in Belchertown; look for Quabbin, Windsor Dam, State Police sign; turn north from route 9 onto the long paved access road). The entrance to the access road is almost precisely 3 miles east (along route 9) from the intersection of routes 202 and 9. The access road is about 1/3 mile long. The subsequent regular meetings will be held on October 31 and November 21, followed by the members annual dinner in January (at a time to be decided), and then a meeting on February 27, 2014.

A schedule of meetings and PVPA events for 2013 is available here.

Guests are always welcome at regular PVPA meetings.

Meetings are typically the last Thursday of each month, except for December and January (and occasionally November, when the November meeting in some years moves to earlier in November or to the first week in December to avoid Thanksgiving). (This is due to the holidays and the members-only annual dinner that is held in January.)

The Pioneer Valley Photographic Artists typically presents an annual award to a deserving recipient in recognition of outstanding contributions and/or service to the community in the field of Photographic Arts and for enriching the Photographic Arts to the benefit and enjoyment of all in the community. Although the award is typically given annually, occasionally there may be a year in which no award is given.

The Award is generally given to a single awardee but it has been given to multiple recipients in cases where joint efforts resulted in an identifiable project that affected a community.
